Once upon a time, I ate a really great tortilla. It was so great that it forced me to spend all my spare time trying to figure out how to shift from a life making desserts to a life of making tacos.
On March 22nd, 2011 the dream came true when the doors of Empellón Taqueria opened and life has never been the same again.
Here we serve a menu with the idea that most ingredients become instantly more appealing by being placed atop a well-made tortilla.
Certain cities in the United States brag about how good their tacos are. Our goal is simple, we want to be part of making NYC one of those cities someday soon.
